Prayer times look wrong

Huda calculates prayer times on your device from your coordinates, so two things change the result: your location and the calculation method. Open Prayers → Settings and check the method — Moonsighting Committee, Muslim World League, ISNA, Egyptian Authority, Umm al-Qura, Karachi and Dubai all give slightly different Fajr and Isha times, and mosques in the same city often disagree. Match whichever your local mosque follows. Asr differs too: the Hanafi and standard opinions are both there.

The adhan does not play at prayer time

Notifications must be allowed for Huda in your system settings, and the prayer notification toggle must be on under the bell on the home screen. On Android the sound is controlled by the notification channel rather than the app, so if you have silenced the “Prayer times” channel in Android settings the notification will still arrive but stay quiet.

Audio will not download or play

Recitation audio is downloaded on request and then played from your device, so the first download needs a connection but playback afterwards does not. If a download fails, check you have space free — a full surah for one reciter can be tens of megabytes, and downloading every surah is considerably more. Downloads continue while the screen is locked.

Is my data private?

Huda has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Your location is used on your device to work out prayer times and the qibla, and is never sent anywhere. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Something in the text looks wrong

Please tell us, and include the surah and verse or the name of the dua. The Qur’an text, its translations and every cited hadith matter more than any feature in the app, and a report about them goes to the top of the list.

Requesting a feature

Send it. Huda is small and actively developed, and a clear description of what you are trying to do — rather than how you think it should work — is genuinely useful.
